Poppy

Rained all day. My first poppy flowered this morning, the rest are still in bud. I planted red, white and salmon colours. Being my first poppy flower (salmon colour) I was determined to photograph it
The extra shows it looking like a drowned rat.
The main blip is when I prised open the petals and held them open with my fingers, inserting the lens inside
