This afternoon the girls and I went to a surprise 60th birthday party. It was held in a lovely barn, in a peaceful setting, just past Dorking. The birthday girl is a mum of friends Rebecca and Lucy had at primary school and through Facebook you seem to, roughly, keep up with their lives but we haven't actually seen them for a few years. J was incredibly surprised (she thought she was going for afternoon tea!) and gutted she hadn't dressed up ~ she looked fine.

It was lovely to had been invited but if I'm a little honest the afternoon just didn't quite flow but hopefully she enjoyed herself.

Lots of very heavy showers during the day too.

Lucy has now headed back to Cheltenham. Although it was a flying visit it was lovely to see her.
