Scone Peacock

It was a day to escape the mists of South Lanarkshire for Perthshire rain.  We had a trip to Potfest 2016 at Scone Castle.  And it rained quite heavily at times.

Stalls were under the modern equivalent of canvas.  There were three of us - Bec, Ellen and myself.  Our routine is to undertake a tour of the stalls and admire the considerable craft skills on display.

One stall invited folks to touch the pieces.  So I did.  And yes, the lid fell off one piece and broke.  I was prepared to argue that the top ought to have been more secure and the piece should have been fired at a higher temperature to make it stronger.  I was also prepared to pay.  Before we could have the conversation, the stall holder was sympathetic and told me not to mind.  I moved on quickly.

After this initial walk through, we had a cup of coffee to discuss.

Then we split.  Bec and Ellen go back to purchase.  I go somewhere else where I found a peacock in the rain.
