Day of rest?

The big laurel has been growing fast this spring, so it was time to cut it back a little.  In our lovely village, we only have a window of two hours on a Sunday in which we are allowed to do noisy work.  But we got the job finished just before the 12 noon noise curfew.  After lunch, N repainted the terrace furniture and the bathroom cabinet whilst I did a forensic cleaning job on the Fiat, getting rid of all the solidified pollen and green sludge that had gathered in the nooks and crannies around windows and door seals.
