Beach weather?

We've had some lovely weather recently, so I had suggested to dad that a trip to the seaside might be nice.

Despite the fact that it was raining when we got to his flat this lunchtime, he was still up for it.  In fact, he was so much up for it, he had dressed in shorts this morning!

So we drove down to Lowestoft in the pouring rain.  It did stop as we approached, and we were able to admire the sea for a short time.  Z (who had come to stay overnight) went for a walk on the empty beach.

Then a fish and chip lunch at a seafront pub, and back home in the rain!

Never mind, the rain is good for the trees that we planted this morning.
