coughs and colds

Not having much fun a the mo... 

Little un is under the weather...  a cold has turned into a chesty cough and an ear infection... and she's off her food and not drinking much either, so she has mild dehydration...  a couple of doctors trips, to make sure she's on track and  a multitude of bottles of medicine, antibiotics,  things in case of a fever... rehydration powders... (which she won't take,  you can lead a horse to water and all that... ) so hopefully she's on the mend now... but it's still rough, the coughing in the night keeping her awake and distressing her... the lack of appetite, meaning that she's shrinking in front of my eyes... the worry of dehydration and having to bully her into taking liquids....

This isn't even considered a serious illness,  just one of the childhood things that everyone gets and has to go through... I'm keeping everything crossed that she can shake this off and get back to eating next week... 

I would like to point out that she is stoical and actually relatively cheerful during the day... it's  just me that's a bag of worry and nerves ... If only she had a little bit more slack... I know that in this day and age most of the news stories are about obese children,  but the petite little one's are never mentioned... If she had a bit more to burn off I wouldn't be so worried...
