Vikings galore

Not a great start back to the school term, struggled to get the girls back into the routine of getting up and dressed!

Had a lovely morning at Twins at Totstime today, a nice surprise of a personalised birthday cake and a card from everyone at today's session - thank you all :)

I then had an afternoon of work at the Pottery Shed; Aj and I did some lovely painting together :)

We were invited to a water fight with The Otway's while the big girls were at Brownies. The girls had such a giggle whilst attacking Big Al. Pops bless her, standing back so as not to get water in her ears.

Then when DM got home, we realised that she has a Viking day at school tomorrow. We gave her the choice as to whether she would like to a) go to school for the full day and be a part of the Viking day, b) go to school for the start of the Viking day and we'll pick her up at 11.30am to take her to Nanny's funeral or c) stay off school and just come to Nanny's funeral. DM chose b which meant we needed to quickly pull together a Viking outfit for the Viking visit. So, her Roman outfit is the base, then cut up a bath mat for her top, a flannel for her wrists as then stripped one of my leather-look belts to make the wrist ties and the cord of the homemade Dane axe that Peach and DM made.

All good for a day's work!
