Let the Olympics commence, London 2012

My sister text me last night to say nan who is in a home because she has dementia and alzheimers slapped another woman at the home in the face because she keeps having a go at everyone. I hope my nan doesn't get an asbo for that.

I Went to a meeting today with one of our contractors over change requests and claims over a number of projects. With me were my senior project engineer and my commercial manager, who are both Asian, (indian and Bangladeshi Asian). One of them was trying to get the contractor to make the change request and claims disappear and the other one wanted conflict and said this is what we will pay take it or leave it. It was so stereotypical and it was harder controlling my team than the contractor.

Everywhere has now got into the Olympic spirit as it is the official start the the Olympics today. My pic is inside the mailbox in Birmingham where I work. There is a tenis court, table tennis and lots of bunting. I'm really looking forward to the opening ceremony tonight especially as its Danny Boyle who has produced it.
