Mono-Monday: "Anything that makes you smile...!"

Thanks again to Redflash for hosting Mono-Monday so well this month.

This week the topic is "Anything that makes you smile". Well these finger puppets make me smile whenever I look at them. They were a present a few years back from Son #1 who knows that I'm much more of a scientist than an arty type. The box they came in has a cutout in the base so you can use it as a puppet theatre; however there's a cellophane window over the front which gave too many reflections for me to photograph it that way so here you see them in front of the "curtains".

In case you can't read the writing on the box, or recognise them otherwise, the scientists are, from L to R: Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton & Charles Darwin.

The manufacturer is "The Unemployed Philosophers Guild"...appropriate as the relevant son is an academic philosopher by profession, although happily he is currently employed!

(PS The puppets even have magnets in them, so you can stick them on your fridge if you like...or to each other! Albert Einstein was quite attached to Marie Curie when I took them out of the box...hope Pierre didn't mind too much...!!)
