Teesdale Mist
This morning Guy was giving a talk to the Barnard Castle U3A Science Group called 'How An Aeroplane Flies'. After the meeting the organiser and his wife very kindly took us for lunch.
As we were due to be in Durham for a photography workshop we needed to kill a couple of hours before looking for a meal. We thought that we had time to drive up Teesdale to Alston and back to Durham via Weardale. Alston at 1000 feet above sea level shares the title of 'Highest Market Town in England' with Buxton in Derbyshire. Shortly after I took this photo, when we were almost at Alston, I received a text to say that the workshop had been postponed due to a forecast of thick fog and intermittent rain.
