Piggy bank raided
After our lightning trip to NI at the weekend, the boys had acquired some 'funny money' for their holidays.
So today, I changed it from Irish (2 types) and Scottish (just the 1 type) of sterling notes, into more easily acceptable English sterling at the bank.
Then to the pawnbrokers / exchange shop to change it into Euros.
Unfortunately it didn't split evenly, so I had to change a note for some spare coins we had from our last visit (the joy of Euro's is knowing that you can pretty much spend them anywhere in Europe, so no need to change it when you get back).
For some reason, I then decided to 'dip' the rest of the coins in some coke.
Instant shiny :)
Which then got me thinking, will the grime from a 100 year old coin dissolve in coke as easily as from a 5 to 10 year old coin.
Well tune in tomorrow to see the results.
Extra's are a few more pennies
