Birthday Treat

Yep...its my Birthday - 39 today. I had told the wife that I'd like to "climb" Raven Crag overlooking Thirlmere today. Why? because its there - and because it is one of the best places from which to take photographs of low-flying aircraft that use the valley for practice. As its my B'day, she agreed. So, despite a covering of snow up high, we trekked up the 1500ft and sat in the snow for an hour or so, waiting. NOTHING. Never mind, it was a great feeling to achieve the climb which is quite steep, well for two unfit oldies like the wife and I it is anyway. And the view was worth every ache and pain.
