Today's the day ............................... to catch up

It's been a bit depressing here for the past week or so to keep hearing how the rest of the UK has been sweltering in the heat under the cloudless skies. The Kendal skies have been anything but cloudless.

But today - we caught up with everyone else - and enjoyed a bit of summer again. This is the sparkling water of the River Kent tumbling over the weir at Stramongate Bridge ............................
