Life sent me to Ashton-under-Lyne for a meeting. With the Mancunian Way closed for two days, car travel is a nightmare so I caught the tram. I got there early so had a wander about. Ashton is not a thing of beauty but there are some fine Victorian buildings left. I liked this lion with a key in its teeth over the entrance to a bank.
