This very showy clematis is growing over the fence in a nearby garden.  I don't walk round my local area as much as I used to .... that was just one advantage of having a dog.  

I spent some time working in my own garden this afternoon cutting back an old laurel bush.  I don't think I'll manage to dig out the roots but I know a man who can.
