Before the storm

A beautiful start to the day, taking a walk through the forest and up the valley. The little one was complaining of a sore ankle though so whilst the rest of the family headed back I carried on a little way, pausing to take pictures and eat the very tasty wild strawberries.

The skies darkened in the afternoon and an our attempts to go in the pool were thwarted by a thunderstorm. We stayed at the poolside playing giant ludo in the hope that it would pass. Eventually they were allowed in the pool, only to be called out again 2 minutes later.
