The Lost Gardens of Manchester

The 14th is our wedding anniversary. Last year it was a Palladian villa near Vicenza. This year it's Manchester.
We had a lovely afternoon pottering about the art gallery and drinking coffee. And in the evening we had a superb, if pricey, meal at The French restaurant in the Midland Hotel and there we spent the night.
Lovely as it was, lost gardens and all, next year we will both be retired and we are thinking Florence or Madrid.
