Thunder and rain

My afternoon's gardening was doubly thwarted.

Firstly my neighbour decided to burn rubbish in his garden incinerator which filled my garden with smoke. Not a pleasant gardening environment!

Four hours later when the smoke was beginning to subside there was a thunderstorm with lightning flashes and torrential rain. As usual in heavy rain the road drains couldn't cope and there was a river of water running past. 

This is the rain falling on a neighbour's garden.
