Journey to Plockton
Some of my fellow walkers and I went by public transport to Plockton where we were to spend a few days. It was a bus from Edinburgh to Inverness, very smooth and quicker than the train - and it was free for us over 60's! Then it was a train from Inverness to Plockton, a beautiful journey and very comfortable too with no twists and turns unlike the road. And very cheap too - £6 for me with my railcard. The weather didn't exactly improve as the day went on, but the scenery did.
