Me and Andy had a bit more time to fit in a ride today and decided to throw the bikes in the car and go a bit further afield. We visited our local national park and went for a pedal around Kinlochard Forest near Aberfoyle. It was a glorious combination of forestry tracks, rocky singletrack and no track at all. We were going for a longer ride, but after getting a bit lost in a forgotten overgrown part of the forest and after finding this viewpoint for lunch, we just sat and had a blether for an hour or so. The next part of the ride was down some steep singletrack and around a couple of gorgeous peninsulas alongside Loch Ard below.

Just watched the olympic ceremony - bloody spectacular it was - loved the musical tribute to the NHS, and I'm no royalist, but the James Bond sequence with the queen was priceless.
