Airborne
Peregrine Life #10
Back to the peregrines on yet another dark and wet morning !
I took my first photos of the fledglings flying. Here you see one of them coming to get some food left by the adult. The first two days from the nest the birds look scared, neither strong enough or brave enough to make more than one flight a day but after this critical period they look good in the air. However take off and particularly landing can still be a bit tricky. If you have any doubt how nervous a young peregrine is about landing take a look at the extra !!
The best news of all today is that all 3 juvs were seen, confirming for the first time that fledgling #1 is alive and well after his first day ordeal just 5 days ago.
