Life Sciences

This is the newly-opened Life Sciences Building at York University. I have blipped it before during its rather lengthy construction (see below this paragraph). It is a highly-specialized academic research building so it required some special attention. Today, YorkU had it's Second Annual Staff Flash Picnic. It is an open event to all who work at YorkU to bring lunches and blankets and just chill out and catch up. Last year was good and this year was as well. This year was on the rain date. We were to have held it yesterday but the ground was wet from the rains off and on throughout the day. Since the original site was still soggy, the new courtyard outside this new building was chosen. It was dry and if it rained again (it didn't) we could go into the lobby area of the building to carry on.
