Brown pelicans
Today I took out the big camera. I have been leaving it at home most days and just carrying my binoculars at the cove. It is difficult to manage both without carrying a big bag as well. Today I braved it and was rewarded.
There were a couple hundred brown pelicans, a dozen terns, countless gulls and cormorants and even a couple of seals feasting on what ever little silver fish were seeking shelter in the cove.
These fellows had just taken off from the water. It was hard to pick a favorite shot today, but I like the nearly prehistoric look of the pelicans in this one.
Happy Blipping!
