A Day in Paris

We set our alarms for 6, packed cup and cycled into Evreaux to be at the train station for 7.30 to give ourselves the best chance of getting on a train to Paris. There were blots of people on the station, but also several trains were running and we were soon in Paris. This meant that we had the best part of the day before the Eurostar return to London.

The morning was spent in the sunshine in the Tuilleries (see extra), whilst the afternoon was happily wiled away in the cafe where we had eaten lunch. At the next table were a brother and sister, who helpfully translated "Cabillaud" from the Plat du Jour. She turned out to be an avid watcher of Downton Abbey.
