Male banded demoiselle

Once or twice a week the spaniel and I walk through the water meadows between the Sussex Ouse and the Hammerdick,, one of its tributaries. The banded demoiselle loves these slow moving waters and we see hundreds of these damselflies in the grass and along the water's edge.
