Life is just a bowl of cherries.

The trees are laden with cherries and it just reminded me of this old Gershwin song.

" Life is just a bowl of cherries
So live and laugh at it all".

After torrential rain last night, we woke to cloud, and much lower temperatures.
A perfect day for wine tasting.
So after lunch we went to one of our favourite vineyards in Gigondas.
Chateau de Saint Cosme.
This year their wines were even better than before. 2015 must have been a good year.
MrC was driving, so I had to do the tasting.
We decided on some white, and red Vin de Pays, red Cote de Rhone, and a Red Gigondas ( for special occasions).

On the way back MrC suggested we stopped at another small village for coffee.
Guess what. We just happened to end up at Cafe des Sports in Sablet.
and surprise, surprise the England match was on the TV. 
Also at the other end of the bar there was racing from Ascot.
Well you can guess which MrC was watching.
I sat outside on the terrace, and looked through some brochures I had picked up at the Tourist Office.
Needless to say MrC was very happy as we drove back.

The sun is now out again, and we are going to walk into town for our evening meal.

Have just heard the terrible news about the shooting of our MP back home.
Not what you expect to see on French TV when on holiday.
Thoughts are with her family and friends.
