Alert - not my normal kind of narrative

Intended to write a humorous narrative today - enjoyed the company of the ladies - grandchildren - and two members of the local am dram group - whilst sat on a park bench - but not all at the same time

Upon returning home - just in time to watch the 6 o'clock news - discovered that Jo Cox - Labour MP for Batley and Spen -and mother of two young children - had been shot and stabbed - in broad daylight - in Birstall - some 13 miles from my home - and has died

A man arrested - comes as a shock that something like this can happen so close to home
