Rainy

A rainy day here, CyclopsJnr was pretty upset that he wasn't allowed to go out and play on his slide.  He looked at it mournfully through the window.

He was slightly cheered up by his new pair of shoes.  MrsCyclops ordered them from the StartRite sale and they arrived today.  Luckily CyclopsJnr liked them.  He kept pointing at them and saying 'shoes' and he wore them all day.

In other news, MrsCyclops went up to the local Primary School and registered CyclopsJnr for the nursery class August 2017 entry.  This is no guarantee of a place, but we've been told that it is best to do this as soon as the child is 2 for the best chance of getting in at 3.  There is no catchment for nursery which is good for us as we are about 50 metres outside the catchment boundary for said Primary School.  CyclopsJnr probably won't get into the Primary School as it is the second best one in Edinburgh and thus rarely takes out-of-catchment requests but the way the school year falls he won't go until he is well over 5, so if we can get him into the nursery we'll put that problem off for a few years.
