~A BikerJim Sunset~
~The Habitual Sunset Photographer~
I had fun writing my blog the last few nights!
You will be please to know that I didn't break any eggs today and the Lilliputian mice were nowhere to be seen. Ah, my demons seem to be withdrawing, at least some. I'm back to my old habits of taking 168 photographs today only to be thwarted at day end by another beguiling sundown display. Damn it, the things I do for The Blip ;o)
I have resolved my great frustration, to some extent, that I maybe doing a lot of sunset images lately. In my mind it seems like easy and lazy photography, as in running out at the days end, camera set on auto, and snapping a few quick clicks, then go home to load those clicks into my computer, pick one and upload it. Then jot down a few quick-witted words (dyslexia will be a demon that will haunt me to the end of my days) and click the publish button. Not quite the case, I do put a considerably amount of labor into each days image. I guess my point is this, the sunset season is relatively short lived, maybe three months out of the year. I should stop bellyaching and shoot the heck out of the evening sky while I can. I'm lucky to live here and lucky to possess a small amount of talent to bring out the colors and not have the highlights blown out.
There will be time enough to photograph a mundane scene and try to make it worth looking at and enjoying as art. I guess this whole thing about too many sunset image is based on my need to be considered a decent artist. Heck, I have nine or ten month left in the rest of the year to convince you of that fact, or fiction!
Thanks for looking in on ol' BikerJim, he's doing well ;o)
