Savannah Sparrow up close

This is a savannah sparrow, and it's sitting on the same wooden post as the grasshopper sparrow blipped on June 11th.

ID can be tricky if the bird is at a distance in the grass and not sitting up high on a post or top of a bush. In this area savannah and grasshopper sparrows live in the same grasslands, songs are similar, and except for the crisp streaking on the front of the savannah sparrow and some other subtle differences, they are similar looking.
