Disappointing

I was looking forward to reading this. It was a charity shop buy, as most of my books are, has been made into a film and had won a Costa novel award. Well I wish I hadn't bothered. It's dull. Deadly dull. I can't wait for it to be finished. I'm reading quickly so it can be over. I hate it. Colm Toibin how did you ever get published?
