Resilience
"The strongest oak of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm and hidden from the sun. It's the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds and rains and the scorching sun."
~ Napoleon Hill
I had been admiring this stalwart little tree from afar for quite some time but today I decided to walk up the lane to get a bit more up close and personal.
It stands alone between fields of alfalfa and its windswept branches tell a tale of many battles waged against the wicked strong West winds we experience here in our little "wind tunnel" of a valley.
I love the story it tells of strength and forebearance and I look forward to casting many more admiring glances its way in the days to come. Rock On little tree, Rock On.
