Back in the saddle.

Alastair, Debbie and I went out for a hack this morning in the drizzle! It was nice after the last horse riding experience I had to do something with a bit more pace, had a few really good canters and the mist and rain didn't spoil it at all! Having not anticipated going to the dales at all when I packed in Edinburgh let alone going horse riding I hadn't brought any gear with me, borrowed a pair of jods from Debs and rode in my trainers, I now have an impressive bruise on the inside of my calf from being pinched by the stirrup leathers :(

The plan in the afternoon was to go to Bolton Abbey, but with the weather pretty miserable Debbie and Ian took the kids to the Wensleydale factory and Alastair and I went into Skipton to buy a bit of food and for a nosey round a crafty shop.
