A day to remember

Today was the beginning of the 2012 Olympics.

But it was also a day of unhappy news... x2.

I got these flowers last night. The sunflowers are from S., R., L., and C. while the purple & white ones are from M., and S. - thank you =). K's flower arranging skills leave a little to be desired but S., pointed out I can turn the vase around to see one bunch or the other.

I digress from the unhappy news.

My good friend H., sadly lost her mother this week unexpectedly. I'm always at a loss of what to say at times like this. My memories of Joy is always happy, caring, friendly and accepting. The woman who introduced me to Earl Gray tea.

I called my mum to share the news and was told that my step-grandad Denis had died this morning. We knew he didn't have long left due to the cancer but I had hoped to visit before then and hadn't managed it yet due to the accident.

Both funerals are on the same day as an interview that I have for a job. It's going to be an emotional day!
