The opening night

After breakfast with Emma on the beach I had a meeting with the lovely Ian aka Dj Jaffa as he is playing my music for me tomorrow night then I had my sound check which went really well, the sound system is amazing.

Emma took me for a lovely massage, an hour of total relaxation! We also had fun singing in the steam room, the acoustics were fantastic.

Then we went to the milk bar for a delicious coffee and sandwich and spent some time in the hammocks. Back to the house for a disco nap and then it was time to dress up in white for the grand opening.

We had a lovely dinner and headed off to the party, everyone looked wonderful in the white outfits, there were stiltwalkers and performance artists. David Emmanuel was among the guests and he was having a great time dancing with everybody. We hooked up with Chris Brown of the Rough Driverz fame, we had a few hit records together in the 90s and it was great seeing him again, we had some cocktails on the beach whilst enjoying the Cuban Brothers who were hilarious and so entertaining.

Kissy Sell Out who Chris manages played a great set! There were wonderful fireworks on the beach and a flaming opening sign, Champagne and cupcakes for everybody!

The team here have worked so hard to get this amazing luxury resorts together and to open on time which apparently resorts in the Maldives never do, everybody was very happy tonight and it was lovely to share in the experience.
