A Longer Walk

I love the framing of the lighthouse. It was another fine morning on the beach; I added a bit to my walk by going out to the end of the wharf and back, which gave me some different views. As I was looking out to sea I heard a crunchy crackling sound--an otter right below me, eating his breakfast with gusto. Lots of seals, and fishermen and gulls.

A couple of interesting kayaks in Extras--you sit on something that looks like a low beach chair, and peddle with your feet. These were outfitted for fishing. They look pretty stable.The guy said some folks take them six or seven miles out, but they were content to stay close to the wharf, at least for their inaugural launch.
