Little Tern

This Little Tern is one of thousands who have taken up residence on a nearby beach. This is their breeding season and they are protected by a perimeter fence and volunteer wardens. They are easy to see and photograph, especially with binoculars and long lenses. The extra pic is from the beach, close to the waters edge. The parents were collecting sand eels.
