Its An Ozzie Thing???

We have lived here in Perth for 34 years, we have only been to one of these party's in all that time, i don't think i will ever get used to a "Christmas in July" party theme, its seems so alien to me.
A hot Summer Christmas is what I am sued to now, i remember the 1st Christmas here like it was yesterday, I was stood in the kitchen (of an old rental house, because i wasn't going to stay here longer than 2 years) baking and cooking on a 40c December day in a pair of short-shorts and a singlet, i was roasting along with the turkey!!
 I'm still baking and roasting the turkey on a hot Christmas day but we have the air conditioning blasting these days and i can't imagine my Christmas any different. 
Im sure they are a hit with some people, we see these signs everywhere at this time of year.
