Shag Rock Fishermen at Sunset

I've had an amazing day! Started off with a brilliant sunrise, gobsmackingly good. 

A girlfriend and I went over to Lyttelton, for the Matariki Festival of Lights (Matariki is the Maori New Year, and also the Maori name for the Pleiades star constellation). A moving story of my friend's, about the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades was read, and I found it particularly touching as it focussed on areas that I've been pondering on lately, and that she and I had been talking about. Wonderful!

And then a walk down the hill to the beach, to cap it all off - and this sunset. A day to remember . . . . .
