Painted lady

All our caterpillars have now metamorphosed and we have 5 pretty painted-ladies fluttering around in their net enclosure.  As soon as it is warm and dry we will have to set them free but, with the current rain, we get to keep them for just a little longer.  I didn't realise how hairy butterflies are, nor how long their tongues can stretch!
