Water shortage

I'm expecting it any day now. 
I mean the announcement in the paper by the provincial/local government telling us that water rationing is now in effect. 
This announcement in the paper is normally accompanied by another story about how record rainfall has created the danger of flooding in certain areas of the city. 
After all, they do tell us that we live in the largest remaining temperate rainforest on the planet. 

On days like today, I don't doubt that for one minute.
