Another relic from the past

The book I'm reading at the moment made fun of that popular wine of the 70s, Mateus Rosé, whose bottle was sometimes used as a lamp base or candle holder.

I remembered that there was a bottle of the stuff in the back of my booze cupboard. I think it's been there for a long time, such a long time that I've no idea who gave it to me. I never imagined that it would prove useful as a blip on a rainy day.

The bottle has now been returned to the back of the booze cupboard...

Interesting feature on photography in 'Countryfile' this evening. I wonder if any blippers will have their photo chosen for the 2017 calendar.
