Currants are red

And now would be the time to eat them - most are ripened already. If we do not eat them, the birds will - as they did last year.

Still we do not want to cover the bushes with a net, because the most horrible task is to loosen a dead bird from the net. Rather let them eat the red currants. Happily, they do not eat the white nor the black currants.
