Between the showers

Spent far too long watching the Olympic Cycling Road Race, having intended to just dip in and see how it was going. Then 'just until they reach Box Hill the first time'.
The second time.
The third time.
The fourth time.
....
Oh I might as well stick with it to the end!
Sadly it wasn't to be for Cav.
Was the Team GB Plan A too obvious and therefore easily countered by others in the race? Or did they lose concentration on the last lap of Box Hill when they thought the job was done, and let too many strong riders escape to join the lead group which ultimately meant they couldn't reel them in, even when the Germans decided it was in their interests to chase too? Should they have had a plan B, involving Millar jumping into the lead group? Does the use of team tactics via the team radio in the tour mean that the on-road decision-making is not as strong as it could be when radios are banned? Fascinating race anyway! And the other teams tactics were completely understandable. Why would they help drag Cav to a bunch sprint where he would most likely win?
Grabbed this shot in the garden between the showers!
