Roundabout in a tunnel
A good night and a sunny start. We set off for the hills again and eating toast at 3000 + feet. The car park is by a tunnel the surface rough and dusty. When drinking tea and reading we both became aware of a sudden wind, looking out the wind was twirling (?) on one spot the dust forming an elongated swirl dancing around the car park. An Extraordinary site. The wind disappeared over the hill the dust settled down. People in front of us were looking at the info board and didn't appear to see or hear the wind. Must remember to look this up later on. We were heading for a set destination although managed (my fault) to travel through miles of tunnels - one was more than 8km long which has taken us way off route. We are now waiting for a ferry to take us back, couldn't face doing the reverse road trip and hope to arrive on a site with wifi at a place called Kvanndal on road 7, to head for the port in Bergen on Tuesday morning. Our time in Norway is coming to an end, the last 4 weeks have proved to be 'Splendid', a new word for the diary. From there we sail to the north of Denmark, an 18 hour sail. The only downside I can find with this beautiful country is the lack of places to buy a bottle of wine. And to close the place at 3.00 on a Saturday afternoon is weird. Not a good use of the word but can't think of the one I mean. The campsite is small quiet and has good wifi. We will spend two nights here I think and have now backdated the blips.
