First day of summer!

Yet another very rainy day but apart from a few flattened, droopy flowers the garden seems happy enough.

This is a rose called 'Schoolgirl' my son bought her for me when my Mum passed away in 2004. The rose always blooms around the anniversary of her passing (June 23rd).

The rose bush had to be moved last year when the new fence was put in but it doesn't seem to have done her any harm.
