Well here we go then ...

Last nights opening ceremony exceeded everybody's expectations and won over even the most cynical among us.

I have always loved Danny Boyle, but now worship him as a god, also credit is due to the people who let him run loose and create his vision.

Loved every minute of it (except Macca obviously) and especially the amazing sculpture/cauldron ... what an incredible work of art.

Best moments: bouncing on the beds, the Mary Poppins hit squad, playing Heroes when team GB came in, the bicycling doves, those chimneys, the recycled paper confetti, carrying in the olympic flag

Saddest moment: seeing Mohammed Ali

If I could change anything: a bit more Led Zep (Kashmir perhaps), finish on Dizzee's Bonkers.

But really it was BRILLIANT! Happy Olympics everyone!


No chickens were harmed in the making of this blip ... in fact I discussed it with them and they were totally cool with it as long as they got extra corn ..
