Gruesome Food

This female blackbird is trying to get past me and back into the hide to feed her chicks. She nested in there but now the chicks ( still very tiny) are in the dark on the hide floor. I locked up the hide and left her to it, but I don't think the two remaining chicks will stand much of a chance if a stoat gets in. 

I don't know what she is feeding them but it looks like the blood and guts of something.
