What's in a name?

Despite its name, The CANINE Working Men's Club probably doesn't cater much for dogs. 

But, judging by the number of smokers seen regularly on the pavement outside, there will be no shortage of dog-ends (indeed this man has found the box to put them in, which also appears to have a slot for the fag-packets).

Now the slang terms dog-end (for a cigarette butt) and fag-packet (for the cigarette packet) might cause confusion, if not embarrassment in some other countries. It is all in the words.
