Fathers Day

Clare sleeping after a night shift

Joshua on an Army Cadets training day.

So the day was largely mine, up relatively early and kippers for breakfast. I'm not normally allowed kippers as the children don't like the smell!!

After a shower it was over to Truro to purchase a 'Quick Link' and chain tool for Joshua's bike. After trying to explain to him what a quick link was it was easier to get it myself.

I'd already decided to clear the ironing mound so it's not there for Clares days off.

We had a sort of party tea, wraps, cream cakes, scones with cream & jam and jelly and ice cream as a Father's Day treat.

As for gifts, which are nowhere near as important as cards, I received an electric saw, a beautiful china coffee mug and a long conversation with Sarah in Spain.

Today's photograph is of a beautiful mini clock that Sarah bought for me around seventeen years ago, a new battery and its up and running again.
